An 18th Century, Louis XVI Giltwood Canape en Corbeille. Circa 1774
The shaped leaf-and-berry beaded frame with incised seasoned fruit and floral spray cresting and curved ends, continuing to down-curved part padded acanthus scrolled arm terminals, upholstered with loose cushion seating. All covered in a blue cotton – silk, above a floral spray-carved shaped apron, on tapering turned fluted acanthus legs, headed by rosettes.
