The waisted case and bracket decorated with scrolling foliate mounts on a black lacquer background, the top surmounted by pierced foliate scrolls, ribbon tied and foliate scroll mounts to edges and surrounding the aperture to base, pierced foliage to side panels and C-scrolls, swags and foliate urn to the door, the 12 piece enamel dial insets with Roman enamel hour plaques and Arabic five minutes, the enamel centre signed MUSSON A ORLEANS. with gilt steel hands, four back pinned turned pillar count-wheel strike on bell.
